If you’ve never heard of him, the John Carter of Mars was originally created by Edgar Rice Burroughs the man who brought us Tarzan and many other works of sci-fi and fantasy. The Barsoom series is filled with action, adventure and all the other tropes of the pulp era of sci-fi.
